At Brazos Electric Power Cooperative, we are committed to providing reliable, affordable power to our 16 Member cooperatives across Texas. We are currently seeking an Engineer in Member Services to serve as a technical advisor and trusted partner to our Member cooperatives, supporting evolving energy needs and building strong, collaborative relationships. Position Summary: As an Engineer in Member Services, you will serve as a key liaison between Brazos Electric and our Member distribution cooperatives. You’ll provide expert technical support on topics including distributed generation, energy management systems, large load interconnections, and emerging energy technologies. You will coordinate with internal departments—Engineering and System Planning, Operations and Maintenance, Project Management, and Business Development—to develop tailored solutions and ensure Member satisfaction. What You’ll Do: Technical Support & Communication: - Serve as a primary point of contact for Member cooperatives on engineering-related matters.
- Develop strong working relationships with Member cooperative leadership and staff.
- Facilitate communication between Members and internal departments, providing timely updates and resolutions.
- Prepare meeting agendas, communications, and reports, and lead or support Member meetings as needed.
Member Services: - Conduct regular visits and maintain consistent communication to understand Member business needs.
- Represent Brazos Electric at Member events, annual meetings, and relationship-building gatherings.
- Monitor and ensure resolution of Member issues by coordinating with appropriate internal teams.
- Provide high-level service and follow-up on deliverables and action items.
Technical Expertise: - Act as a Subject Matter Expert, offering technical consultation and support to Members and Brazos staff.
- Assist in troubleshooting operational issues in coordination with internal technical teams.
- Stay informed on electric utility industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Lead or contribute to special projects that involve technical collaboration with Member systems.
