Pharmacy Manager

This requisition is for the pharmacy manager position overseeing pharmacy operations at PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Covington and PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Hammond. This is a working manager position. Business hours are Monday-Friday 0800-1630, closed on the weekend and all major holidays! The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing all medication storage and preparation in the facility/pharmacy. They ensure that the pharmacy provides optimal services; meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements; and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the organization. This is a working manager role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of hospital pharmacy operations and/or pharmacy support staff.

• Administers and executes hospital and pharmacy policies and procedures.

• Ensures pharmacy staff operate within established guidelines.

• Interacts with staff, internal and external customers and peer groups at various management levels.

• Participates in hospital committee meetings necessary to enhance practice and patient care.

• Performs special projects as requested.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in pharmacy or PharmD

• Must be a "good standing" licensed Pharmacist in the state of Louisiana.

• Prior inpatient/hospital experience preferred

• Prior management experience preferred. 

• IV experience/certification preferred

• Ability to see, hear, write, and speak clearly in order to communicate with customers and health care professionals

• Excellent planning, organizing and leadership skills

• Strong customer orientation and negotiation skills

Anticipated Salary range:  $109,900 - $164,850
