The role you’ll contribute:

The Laboratory Administrative Director has 24-hour accountability, authority and responsibility for quality of patient care/services, operational management, and human resource management for an assigned environment(s).  Fosters the integration of the organization’s vision and values, and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan through an accountable work team.  As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Administrative Director collaborates with patients/customers, families, physicians, Administration and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient focused and healing environment.

The Administrative Director Laboratory is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing & controlling all activities & uses of personnel, equipment, & supplies to meet the needs of patients, associates, hospital & corporate clients.  Assists in collaboration with the Medical Director of the Laboratory to ensure appropriate standards of service, practice, & care are established in accordance with state & federal law, Joint Commission & the College of American Pathologists (CAP).  Has responsibility for assigned Laboratory tasks across the MidAmerica region including LIS, POC, CLIA compliance and other assigned regional duties.

• Works collaboratively across region as leader of Regional Lab Governance determining with campus leadership and executives the test menus appropriate to each site
• Provides support across the Region in LIS, POC, accreditation support.
• Creates with executive leaders and implements vision for Laboratory model across region to support patient care, reduce cost and improve efficiency.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or related area
• 5 Years of Laboratory Experience, with some working knowledge of POC and LIS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in related subject
• 8 Years Laboratory Experience
• MT ASCP or equivalent certification
