![]() Administrative Nurse I Service Team Lead - Surgery, Oncology, Colorectal, Bariatric (48x) Job Summary The AN1 Service Line Support Nurse provides administrative coordination, support, and resource management to specific surgical specialties to which the RN is assigned. #48XNursing The AN1 Support RN is a registered nurse with advanced skills and knowledge who works in collaboration with other members of the surgical team to ensure efficient throughput of the service line and department. The AN1 Support RN uses their strong foundation of clinical knowledge to act as a mentor, preceptor, and resource for clinical and non-clinical members of the surgical team, complete administrative tasks associated with maintaining a well-functioning unit, and organization skills to manage multiple high priority tasks simultaneously, to bring all available resources to the unit for the purpose of surgical patient care for their specific area of oversite. They will act as a conduit between the perioperative team, anesthesia providers, surgeons, et al for the purpose of providing excellent surgical care to patients and families. In addition, the Service Line Manager is responsible for building a positive work culture that reflects the mission and vision of the organization, ensures staff competency, completes staff performance review improvement, and acts as resource to other members of the surgical team. Who serves as the clinical subject matter expert for a cluster of surgical specialties for which they are assigned. They assist surgical leaders with nursing oversight, administrative coordination, and direct guidance of staff assigned to work within the surgical specialties assigned to them. Reporting to the Service Line Manager, and working closely with the surgical team, the AN I Service Line Lead facilitates the smooth operation of the surgical specialties, acts as a mentor, preceptor, and clinical resource for the clinical, non-clinical and support staff. Working collaboratively with all other units within the division and organization, they provide advanced consultation to other units and hospital staff regarding complex surgical patient care, while continuing to maintain their own perioperative clinical practice. #CA-LA Apply By Dated: 05/19/2025 by 11:59p.m. This position will be considering applications as they apply, until filled. Department Overview Perioperative Services at UC Davis Health encompasses multiple Operating Rooms, Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Units, and Sterile Processing Departments, across the UC Davis Health Campus. Surgical care is provided across the entire life spectrum, includes a wide range of inpatient and ambulatory surgical specialties, including (but not limited to: ACS Level 1 Trauma, Bariatric, Burn, Cardiac, Colorectal, Endocrine, ENT, Gynecology, comprehensive Neurosurgery, Oncologic, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Trauma, comprehensive Orthopedic (Spine, Foot & Ankle, Hand & Hand Trauma), Otolaryngology, Pain, Plastics, Robotics, Thoracic, Transplant, Vascular, , Urology, and Uro-Gyn. Additionally, our Children's Surgery Center provides comprehensive surgical care in the full-range of surgical specialties in an age-appropriate setting This position will be located in the new 48X outpatient surgery center complex.
