Department: Campus Recreation, Division of Student Success Specific Job Title: PT Campus Recreation Operation Coordinator Reports to: Director of Campus Recreation Campus: Queens Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Campus Recreation, the Part-Time Campus Recreation Operation Coordinator will provide oversight and supervision of a team of student workers and graduate assistants on weekends and evenings. On evenings and weekends when the Director and Assistant Director are not present, this individual will be the point person for all Campus Recreation activities. These activities include the supervision of all spaces in the Fitness Center and Taffner Field House. This position is expected to maintain employee accountability and assist other program areas (fitness, club sports, and intramurals) to maintain the safety, appearance, and cleanliness of the facility as well as enforce and maintain all facility policies and procedures. Supervisory Responsibility: When appropriate, supervises graduate assistants and student workers. Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment. This position requires the use of standard office equipment such as personal computers, printers, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, move about, sit, carry work and use controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and communicate. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position is part-time and requires evening and weekend hours. This position may be relocated to any of St. John's University's physical locations at any time.
