| Application Deadline: Review of applications will begin on March 4, 2025 and continue until the position is filled.Position: Tenure-Track (Probationary*)Salary Type: Depends on qualificationsJob DescriptionThe Management and Entrepreneurship Department in the College of Business at Minnesota State University, Mankato, seeks qualified applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to teach MIS and business analytics related courses.A typical faculty workload responsibility may include up to twenty four (24) credits of instruction per academic year.The successful candidate may need to teach in other areas as assigned and qualified.May be expected to develop and deliver face-to-face, hybrid, and on-line instruction at the Mankato campus, online, and/or at theuniversity's additional locations, as assigned.The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues in curriculum design, instruction and evaluation, conduct researchproductively and mentor students in research, help create innovative strategies for student recruitment, retention, andcompletion, and may be expected to develop external grant funding opportunities.All faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly or creative activity or research, in continuing preparation and study, incontributing to student growth and development, and in providing service to the university andcommunity (see Article 22 and Appendix G of the IFOMaster Agreement).This position will advise undergraduate majors.The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in MIS and related areas.The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching graduate courses in business analytics area.Minimum QualificationsDemonstrated ability to serve a diverse population and apply an equity lens to this position including social justice and/or anti-racism.Doctorate or terminal degree in MIS with an emphasis in business analytics. (Doctoral/terminal degree should be completed by August 24, 2026.)Strong background in business analytics area including programming in python, Database management, SPSS, and data mining programming.Preferred QualificationDemonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.Demonstrated effective written, oral communication and/or presentation skills.Experience teaching MIS courses at undergraduate level.Demonstrated preparation to teach, advise, and support a wide variety of students.Demonstrated excellence in teaching college or university-level classes.Demonstrated ability to teach using technology in the classroom and/or online course delivery.Demonstrated ability to use technology, develop, and deliver hybrid and online courses.Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development.Creative or scholarly interests that will advance the mission and goals of the Management Entrepreneurship department at Minnesota State University, Mankato.Evidence of scholarly activity, including publications and/or professional presentations.Other RequirementsWork safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.The Minnesota State University, Mankato Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available for your review. With its 31 institutions, including 24 two-year colleges and seven state universities, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system is the largest single provider of higher education in the state of Minnesota. The colleges and universities operate 54 campuses in 47 Minnesota communities and serve about 250,000 students in credit-based courses. Overall, the system produces about 33,500 graduates each year. In addition to credit-based courses, the system offers customized training programs that serve about 153,200 employees from 6,000 Minnesota businesses each year. The law creating the system was passed by the Minnesota Legislature in 1991 and went into effect July 1, 1995. The law merged the state's community colleges, technical colleges and state universities into one system. The system is separate from the University of Minnesota.
