Job DescriptionMinnesota State Community and Technical College, Detroit Lakes Campus, is accepting applications for a full-time Radiologic Technology Faculty to begin fall semester 2025. This position will become unlimited upon completion of required six semesters of probationary status.Responsibilities:Activities related to comprehensive community college teaching and learning, including but not limited to:Instructional planning and delivery;Maintain program accreditation;Teaching and facilitating student learning;Curriculum planning and development;Academic advising for Radiological Technology students;Supervise clinical rotations at multiple clinical sites;Assessment of student performance at course and departmental level, and contribute to student assessment at the college general education level;Classroom management;Flexible to teach day, evenings, or weekend sections;Travel between campuses and clinical facilities;Monitor radiation safety;Maintenance of professional skills and credentials;Participation in department meetings, coordination activities, and college-wide committees.Provide engaging theory, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction to a diverse student bodyCreate a positive, student-centered, dynamic, structured, equitable and inclusive classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning environmentParticipate in program and institutional accreditation activities, program review, assessmentDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and industry partners.Minimum Qualifications:Education Requirement:Bachelorâ™s degreeOccupational Experience Requirement:Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered technologist.Recency Requirement:One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five yearsProfessional Requirement:Certified as a Registered Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).Preferred Qualifications: Masterâ™s Degree (MA/MS) in Radiology, Adult Education, Communication or Administration;Experience with program accreditation;Experience as a Radiological Technology instructor in an academic setting;Leadership related to student success, retention and persistence;Experience mentoring students;Experience collaborating across departments or programs;Experience with learning communities or team teaching;Experience in curriculum development;Service on local, regional, national committees;Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills;Knowledge of active learning strategies.Demonstrated familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college;Teaching experience at the post-secondary level or with adult learners.Outstanding communication and facilitation skills.Demonstrated ability to establish a positive learning environment that promotes retention, accountability, diversity, equity, excellence, innovation, collaboration, safety, and personal/professional growth.Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.Application Procedure: Position is open until filled with application review to begin the week of Monday, April 28, 2025. Full-time faculty work a 171-day contract during a nine-month academic year (mid-August to mid-May). With its 31 institutions, including 24 two-year colleges and seven state universities, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system is the largest single provider of higher education in the state of Minnesota. The colleges and universities operate 54 campuses in 47 Minnesota communities and serve about 250,000 students in credit-based courses. Overall, the system produces about 33,500 graduates each year. In addition to credit-based courses, the system offers customized training programs that serve about 153,200 employees from 6,000 Minnesota businesses each year. The law creating the system was passed by the Minnesota Legislature in 1991 and went into effect July 1, 1995. The law merged the state's community colleges, technical colleges and state universities into one system. The system is separate from the University of Minnesota.
