Description of Work:

The Finance Coordinator serves in a customer-facing role and is responsible for ensuring finance transaction completion in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines. The Finance Coordinator primarily executes and reviews moderately complex travel, procurement, contracts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting, and asset management transactions.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma plus 3 years of related finance work experience; equivalent education/experience considered.
  • A willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new hardware and software systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with rules and regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines on the disclosure of information.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of reporting lines.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of finance terminology and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in accounting or business related degree.
  • Experience performing finance tasks in a business setting.
  • Experience functioning in a team environment.
  • Experience with automated financial systems and database systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines related to business practices.

Posted Salary: $21.130/hr minimum
