Faculty within the Faculty Dental Practice

Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position within the school’s Faculty Dental Practice, located at Broad and Spring Garden Streets. Primary responsibilities will include direct patient care as well as direct oversight of all day-to-day operations of the clinic. This will include management of all clinicians and staff within the clinic, ensuring that patients receive dental care in a humanistic and respective manner, and budget management and financial oversight for the practice. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the oversight of the process for pre-authorizations, submission of claims, resolving rejected claims, setting fees, and monitoring accounts payable and receivables. Performs other duties as assigned.

Candidates must have their DDS, DMD or an equivalent degree and must have or be eligible for a PA dental license, along with experience in clinical practice with knowledge of trends in evidence-based practice and quality assurance and implementation as the faculty member will serve as both an active practitioner in the treatment of patients and the clinical director of all operations of the practice. Additionally, candidates must have previous experience within a leadership or management role including experience with overseeing other clinicians, a thorough understanding of the care provided by specialist, and experience with insurance management. Must be able to work nontraditional business hours including some shifts from 8AM to 8 PM during the week and some hours on Saturdays. |
Additional Salary Information: Salary and Academic Rank will be based upon experience.
