EOC IT Assistant Level 1 (Provisional) - Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center GENERAL DUTIES EOC IT Assistants perform entry-level professional work in technology-related disciplines at Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC). While areas of specialization vary, typically EOC IT Assistants work in areas such as development/programming, communications, technical support, or similar based on the needs of the Information Technology area to which they report. Work tasks include resolving minor technology problems, monitoring activities, and maintaining documentation. They have latitude for independent initiative and judgment, under supervision. The full specification is available on our web site at http://www.cuny.edu/about/administration/offices/ohrm/hros/classification/ccsjobs.html CONTRACT TITLE EOC IT Assistant FLSA Non-exempt CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION The State University of New York, Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center (BEOC), located in downtown Brooklyn as part of CUNY-New York City College of Technology, provides tuition free academic and workforce development training to eligible New York State residents, providing a pathway to lifelong learning, college access and economic self-sufficiency. The BEOC welcomes applications for a full-time position of EOC IT Assistant Level 1. The EOC IT Assistant supports BEOC?s day-to-day IT operations by resolving technical issues, managing devices and user accounts, and assisting in classroom technology setups. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This title has three levels. To qualify for Levels 2 and 3, additional qualifications, such as education, experience, or certification relevant to the area of specialization are required. COMPENSATION New Hire: $54,851* Incumbent: $61,981 *This amount reflects a 13% salary suppression in effect for the first 24 months of employment only. Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criteria to be eligible for health benefits. Health benefits are also extended to retirees who meet the eligibility criteria.
