Helpdesk Technician

Minimum Qualifications 

• Education – A high school diploma or GED.
• Experience – Two years to five years (Equivalent combination of education and employment).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent communication, documentation and customer service skills including the ability to organize complex information into an understandable format and convey that information to people with limited technical knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with many diverse hardware, software and operating system environments.
• Self-motivated.
• Willingness to learn.
• Strict attention to detail, responsiveness when unexpected down-time occurs and commitment to ensuring user base receives optimal uptime of computer systems.
• Ability to lift and transport AV equipment (up to 20 lbs) and work in various campus locations.
• A commitment to the highest ethical standards in IT.

Physical Requirements  

Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).

Work Environment  

Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.

CompTIA+

Anticipated Schedule  

Monday to Friday 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM.
