Development Coordinator, MDS CLIENT ASSOCIATION: International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, MDS POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Business Development, MDS EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT EMPLOYEE STATUS: Non-Exempt (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week) GENERAL SUMMARY: The International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society is a non-profit medical professional society of 10,000+ influential clinicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals from around the world dedicated to improving the care of patients with Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders through education and research. The Development Coordinator supports the Development Team and the Director of Business Development in the planning and execution of the MDS International Congress, the Asian and Oceanian Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Congress, the Pan American Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Congress, Regional Education Courses, and other related fundraising activities. This position focuses on Industry support, communication and data tracking related to these educational events, including exhibit and sponsor commitments, contracts, invoicing and account reconciliation. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (minimum of 37.5 hours/week):
AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED Approximately one week per year including possible international travel; some early morning/evening and weekend work required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous association management experience and familiarity with nonprofit boards of directors are a plus. Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills required. Word processing and spreadsheet skills in MS Office environment essential. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required. *This position is located in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role. *Please apply to the role that best aligns to your experience and qualifications.
