Position Summary Under the direction of the President and within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of standards of clinical practice, and for the overall integration, coordination and quality of care provided by the clinicians of Winchester Hospital. The CMO is a member of the executive leadership team responsible for the overall medical affairs related to health care delivery. The CMO fosters collaboration across academic, employed, and independent physician groups. The CMO champions a culture of safety, trust-based relationships and supporting care standards to elevate the level of quality and operational efficiency. This individual plays a key leadership role in aligning clinical excellence with business performance and brings proven experience leading quality teams and managing performance on national benchmarks including Leapfrog Safety Grades and CMS Star Ratings. The position links the efforts of the hospital’s quality initiatives with those of the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) system to establish a foundation that maximizes clinical quality integration.
