The Wharton Neuroscience Initiative (WiN) is a pioneering, cross-disciplinary program that integrates insights from neuroscience into business and organizational decision-making. WiN's mission is to advance the understanding of human behavior and cognition in business contexts-focusing on how brain science can inform and optimize decision-making, leadership, consumer behavior, and innovation in organizations. WiN's work is grounded in applied, translational neuroscience, leveraging scientific insights to address real-world business challenges. WiN's research is closely tied to advanced analytics, with a strong focus on computational modeling, machine learning, and high-dimensional data analysis of complex biophysiological data. This allows the initiative to extract novel insights from complex neural and behavioral datasets-paving the way for breakthroughs in areas like neuromarketing, behavioral finance, and workforce optimization. The Research Specialist A will advance WiN's research goals by developing and supporting state-of-the-art versatile computer vision and AI systems to process multiple tasks and analyses in complex environments. The Research Specialist A will develop custom processing and analytic pipelines involving high-dimensional biometric data and naturalistic stimuli. They will work closely with members of WiN, Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative analysts, and corporate partners to facilitate understanding of the data and extracting key insights from relevant projects. The Research Specialist A will also support design, data collection and analysis for academic and corporate sponsored research projects. The Research Specialist A is a pre-doctoral position that is a one-year term-limited position, with the potential for a one-year extension, contingent upon satisfactory performance and availability of funding. Job Description Duties include: Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Wharton School Pay Range $44,500.00 - $60,000.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
