Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services

General Description:

• Model and promote a collaborative leadership style that empowers site administrators and staff to take initiative, innovate, and lead with purpose.
• Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to District and site leadership teams to build a pipeline of high-performing leaders.
• Lead the development and implementation of a shared vision for educational equity, ensuring that all programs and services are aligned to close achievement gaps and serve every student effectively.
• Lead a system-wide commitment to continuous improvement by fostering a culture of reflection, accountability, and professional learning.
• Design, implement, and refine cohesive, scalable systems that unify educational programs District-wide and align curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional development, and resources with District goals.
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders through active listening, transparency, and consistency in decision-making.
• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure that the work of Educational Services is fully aligned with District goals, operational plans, and school site needs.
• Responsible for leading, planning, organizing, staffing, directing, controlling, and evaluating a program of comprehensive educational support services in accordance with District?wide goals, instructional priorities, and State and Federal standards and guidelines.
• Effectively lead the development of an effective and robust Local Control Accountability Plan with stakeholder input to provide cutting?edge programs, opportunities, and support for all students.
• Identify, define, and describe policy issues, and community concerns related to the functions of Educational Services.
• Direct, manage, and participate in the identification, development, and implementation of the Division goals, objectives, policies, priorities, and service
• Assist in the determination of resource allocations and levels of service; oversee the preparation and execution of the various budgets under the Educational Services
• Represent Educational Services in matters requiring Board of Education attention and approval.

• Represent and serve as a liaison at a variety of meetings, conferences, hearings, presentations, and workshops.
• Respond as necessary to inquiries, complaints, and concerns from the general public, community organizations, and school District staff.
• Direct the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all functions which facilitate the instructional program of the District.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of all assigned personnel in accordance with the District's adopted evaluation policies and procedures.
• Supervise State and Federal programs including but not limited to Title I, Title II, and Title III and Local Control Funding Formulas and supplemental/concentration grant funds; assure compliance with and serve as a District liaison to, Federal and State? funded programs.
• Establish strong positive relationships with staff, parents, and the community for the support of an effective instructional program.
