Under the supervision of the Senior Associate Director of Maintenance, the Shop Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight in a collaborative, team oriented environment for a professional facilities management group. This role emphasizes fostering an engaged and cohesive team, advocating for facilities initiatives, and managing skilled trades staff to ensure quality preventive and corrective maintenance. The Manager will enforce compliance with work rules, safety policies, and union contracts, while proactively identifying and addressing current or future facilities challenges. By balancing strategic advocacy with operational leadership, the Shop Manager will play a critical role in achieving the University's long term facilities management objectives.
