Business Manager III

Position Summary:

• Oversees multiple departments across SEBS and NJAES, ensuring that all functions are performed accurately, thoroughly, and within relevant deadlines while complying with all applicable policies and processes.
• Encompasses budget and financial oversight, procurement, payroll management, grant administration, accounting, travel and expense reimbursement, and financial reporting.
• Communicates, adapts, implements, and enforces accounting and grant management policies and procedures.
• Serves as a conduit for information sharing across departments, advocating for and representing departmental interests, and guiding and assisting department administrators.
• Analyzes and reviews financial data, prepares financial statements and reports for both internal and external use, and resolves a wide range of problems with a comprehensive understanding of accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), applicable regulations, and University policies and procedures.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience fully demonstrating knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
• At least five years of relevant experience in a financial or accounting function, excellent communication skills, advanced computer literacy, and a customer service-oriented attitude.
