The Medical Staff Quality manager is responsible for overseeing the collection, management, and analysis of provider performance data, including Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and protected case review data. This role ensures that peer review committee cases move efficiently through various phases of evaluation while maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The Peer Review manager collaborates with medical staff leadership, quality improvement teams, and hospital administration to promote patient safety and provider accountability.
Education
Education: Bachelor?s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field (Master?s preferred). (Required)
Experience
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in medical staff services, quality management, or peer review processes within a healthcare setting. (Required)
Demonstrated knowledge of acceptable professional standards and practices. (Required)
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals at all levels to facilitate the physician peer review process. (Required)
Ability to review, summarize and analyze medical records. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. (Required)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive data appropriately. (Required)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. (Required)
Preferred Certifications: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) (Preferred)
