Responsibilities include: - Serves as first point of contact for the Center for Women and Gender Equity and notifies department staff when individuals are present for meetings
- Answer and forward calls if necessary for the department main phone line and review/respond to/forward voicemails to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain departmental email accounts and respond to routine inquiries
- Coordinate, monitor and maintain shared department calendars
- Produce outreach and notify CW&GE scholarship recipients of status
- Independently research, purchase, and reconcile purchasing card requisitions for Center events based on requests from Center staff
- Coordinate required processes for payment of purchase orders and requisitions and train other staff on processes if needed
- Initiates and tracks completion of processes including work orders, student employment paperwork, and travel requests
- Tracks departmental budgets, including grant budgets, and fulfills daily communication
- Completes all necessary budget and expense transfers between Center accounts and institutional partners
- Collaborate with campus partners including Payroll, Finance and Business Services, Financial Aid, and Human Resources to assist students with compensation and clearances
- Other duties as assigned
- Such training may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university
OR - Any equivalent combination of experience and training
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Some knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration
- Some knowledge of the principles of governmental accounting, statistics, and public personnel administration
- Some knowledge of the sources of information, methods, and techniques used in administrative research
- Ability to carry out, with some supervision, staff assignments requiring the organization of material and development of procedures
- Ability to conduct studies and analyze contributing to the development of sound operational procedures
- Ability to speak and write effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative officials, other employees, and the general public
