RDN (experienced) or RDN eligible part-time (1-3 days/week) outpatient position is available on South Hill in Puyallup, Washington. This independent position involves assisting in the nutrition education, guidance, support, coaching and accountability of a wide variety of physician referred patients. The type of patients being see are those struggling with one or more health conditions such as HTN, DM, Celiac Sprue, Crohn's disease, Tummy Troubles (IBS/SIBO), Lipid Management and obesity/weight management (not limited to). A prosperous caseload is dependent on the clinical and relational/listening skills of the RDN being capable to engage every patient for multiple face-to face (60 minute) Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) sessions for optimal clinical outcomes. This is a permanent part-time position. Being part-time there are no medical or vacation paid time benefits. If an RDN wants to take time off she/he just blocks the schedule, so no patients are scheduled. In order to maintain a consistent plan-of care and to maximize improved outcomes the RDN is encouraged to increase availability the week before the scheduled vacation time off and increase availability the week after any scheduled time off. |
Hybrid/Remote work is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: A prosperous caseload is dependent on the ability to maintain a successful caseload. If a patient does not provide a minimum of 48 hours of adequate cancellation notice the RDN is paid the inadequate cancellation notice fee the patient is billed. If the patient no-shows the RDN is paid the no-show fee the patient is billed for the penalty of no-showing. If patients do not pay the fees, they are not allowed to continue to schedule MNT. This helps encourage good attendance and allows Nutrition Authority the ability to fill in cancellation slots with our waiting list of new patients.
