What is CPCC Services Corporation - Collegiate Test Prep:
Services Corporation is a 501(c)3 organization within Central Piedmont which supports the college's vision, mission, educational and financial goals through innovative businesses and services.
Collegiate Test Prep is comprised of a small team from wildly different backgrounds but share a commitment to lead and support students though our test prep program; to help increase student's test scores and gain acceptance to the college/program of their dream.

Looking for a supplemental teaching opportunity? We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our Collegiate Test Prep program. In this role, you will be responsible for providing test taking strategies and material review for English subject areas in SAT, ACT, and TEAS exam prep. We provide the lesson content and curriculum for you, but within that framework, you are free to develop creative activities and other methods to enhance your students' review and retention.
The successful candidate will create a fun learning environment that, not only fosters inclusion, but delivers a well-organized, clearly explained, interactive and engaging lessons. In addition, enjoys teaching both in-person and virtually, has a flexible schedule for evenings and weekends and is willing to travel to different campuses. Candidates are strongly encouraged to have experience in teaching and tutoring exam prep courses.Prep classes occur both in-person and virtually during the weekday evenings (2-day sessions), during the weekday in the summer (4-day session) and on the weekends (Saturdays or 2-day sessions) depending on the programs each teacher is assigned to. Courses are assigned on a rotational basis.
Instructors are expected to deliver on the following core responsibilities:

Facilitate scheduled English review sessions for perspective SAT, ACT, TEAS test-takers on language, grammar and composition, as well as in reading and writing
Ability to engage, motivate, and lead students while creating an open and safe environment
Model professionalism and accountability by adhering to the dress code and college policies and arriving to class on time
Responsibility and supervision of students during classroom time
Required to complete the college's ongoing compliance training in a timely manner
Any additional duties, responsibilities issued by Assistant/Executive Directors, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or PhD preferred
- Ability to teach multiple subjects (English, Math, Science)
Provide ACT, SAT, as well as TEAS subject tutoring
