![]() Associate Director, Career Advising Job No: 498263 Work Type: Staff Full-time Department: Career Center Location: Beren Campus, 245 Lexington Avenue, NY, NY Categories: Career Center Position Summary: The Associate Director of Career Advising at the Shevet Glaubach Center for Career Strategy and Professional Development (SGC) at Yeshiva University (YU) is responsible for career advising students and alumni, individually and in groups, on career planning strategies across various fields. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who evaluates student and corporate partner needs, develops strategies, and takes appropriate action. This role includes tracking, auditing, and analyzing internship and employment outcomes with high attention to detail and accountability. The Associate Director also develops positive relationships with students, employers, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents. Position Responsibilities: across various fields through in-person, virtual, and online resources assigned fields; evaluate gaps in student engagement and skill sets; and create plans to equip students with necessary competencies and internship search skills evaluate and improve existing processes and procedures holistic career strategy while in school and for post-graduation, leading to the beginning of an impactful career, whether a great job and/or acceptance into graduate school using various technology platforms for career discovery/job-search purposes industry leaders to provide panels and guest lectures mentors and opportunities includes call campaigns, student advising, and participation in on-campus events related to this initiative have access to community-specific opportunities and relevant resources workload, development opportunities are provided, and feedback is given regularly opportunities and relevant resources Experience & Education Background: Required: Recruitment, or Career Advising productive advising relationships stakeholders, including students, faculty, and employers Preferred: Skills & Competencies: manageable student body across various industries communication skills, an upbeat and energetic attitude, substantial team collaboration, a sense of initiative, and a can-do approach. development and/or career coaching Salary Range: $85000-$90,000 About Us: Yeshiva University is dedicated to academic excellence, intellectual exploration, and the advancement of timeless values that shape and impact lives.
