Director of Commercial Real Estate
Tampa International Airport, Aviation Authority
Under the general direction of the Vice President of Real Estate, the Director of Commercial Real Estate is responsible for the management and development of Real Estate for the Authority. The Director of Commercial Real Estate implements the Authority’s real estate development strategy, provides advice regarding all real estate activities within the airport system, conducts negotiations, and monitors other potential areas that might present risk for each transaction and/or venture. This role develops, implements, and manages a robust real estate program in alignment with current market opportunities, the Authority's Master Plans, and will strive to creatively maximize the use of available Authority land at Tampa International and General Aviation Airports. This role also provides the technical expertise in compliance with FAA, State of Florida, County, and City standards. Position open until filled. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

REQUIRED FOR ALL HCAA JOBS · In the event of an emergency or disaster that impacts the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (HCAA), an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department or the HCAA Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Such assignments may be before, during, or after the emergency/disaster. · Complies with all HCAA Policies, Procedures, and Standards. QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS) · Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration, or related field. · Eight (8) years experience in real estate development. · Four (4) years supervisory experience. · Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. · Licensed Real Estate Agent to be obtained within one (1) year of hire. Accreditation as a Certified Member (CM) by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) within one (1) year of hire. · Must possess a valid Florida Driver License. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Master's Degree in Public or Business Administration, or related field. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES · Knowledge of FAA regulations related to the development and leasing of airport property. · Knowledge of commercial real estate and leasing contracts. · Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others within and outside the Authority. · Ability to handle restricted, sensitive, and confidential information. · Ability to provide outstanding customer service, serve the public, and represent the Authority with courtesy and professionalism.
