Director, Identity and Access Management Services

The IAM Director oversees all aspects of solutions architecture and development in the domain of identity, access management, Active Directory, multi-factor authentication, privileged access management, single sign-on, and related middleware. The position is responsible and accountable for coordinating and managing the scope, estimations, and delivery of multiple small to large-scale projects to achieve the desired goals and benefits. The position also sets technical and service strategies, provides expertise and advice for the organization, and leads the delivery of identity and access services to the university and affiliates.

Establishes objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. Responsible for managing, preparing, administering, and directing resources. Reviews and approves recommendations for the identity and access management program. Involved in developing, modifying, and executing policies that affect immediate operations and may also have campus-wide, medical center, or Office of the President effects. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals result in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules.

The IAM Director will positively impact UCSF's operations and culture by ensuring UCSF's IT infrastructure is operable, secure, efficient, and effective in service of the University's mission. This team member will advance the University's mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across customers and stakeholders. This role will execute UCSF's vision while modeling UCSF's culture and values.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $208,400 - $303,800 (Annual Rate).
