AMTRAN (Altoona, PA) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. This position is responsible for the financial management, accounting, and management information functions of AMTRAN. The essential function of this position is to perform all financial/accounting aspects of AMTRAN, including AP/AR, journals, balance sheets, payroll, preparing monthly cash flow reports, monthly financial reports. Responsibilities include being able to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual grant reports to state and federal agencies, preparing PennDOT operating and capital grants, preparing federal grant requests to distribute to appropriate agencies, and preparing for/assisting with state, federal, and independent auditors when necessary, preparing financial data for the FTA’s National Transit Database, and preparing and filing tax and pension reports. This position requires working with the Director of Transportation to oversee daily ridership numbers and revenue and collaborating with the Director of Maintenance overseeing the inventory process and record-keeping system. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will work with and oversee the performance of the Financial Assistant.
