HARTZ Search invites you to explore an exciting opportunity with our client, OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, a 242-bed, acute care facility in Rockford, IL, for their Chief Nursing Officer role. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a 242-bed acute care facility that is part of OSF HealthCare, a nationally recognized, mission-driven health system. Reporting directly to the President of the Medical Center, the Chief Nursing Officer will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Patient Services Division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant nursing care. The CNO will play a pivotal role in shaping nursing practice standards, fostering a culture of excellence, and maintaining a focus on patient safety, quality outcomes, and staff engagement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating nursing operations, developing staffing models, and aligning resources to meet patient care demands. In collaboration with medical staff, department leaders, and governing bodies, the CNO will help establish and implement clinical policies, drive quality improvement initiatives, and maintain regulatory compliance with entities including OSHA, OIG, The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Professional Nursing Act. The role also involves ensuring that nursing services are evidence-based and reflect current best practices, published research, and industry trends. This leader will be accountable for achieving OSF HealthCare’s key performance metrics and for taking proactive corrective action when needed.
OSF Saint Anthony is part of OSF HealthCare, a 17-hospital system which serves Illinois and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with a simple Mission: to serve with the greatest care and love. With 242 licensed beds, OSF Saint Anthony is known for being the first and longest-certified comprehensive stroke center and is the only burn unit in northern Illinois outside of Chicago.

LOCATION – ROCKFORD, IL Rockford is a city in Winnebago County, Illinois, United States.
