This role requires an individual to work autonomously with minimal supervision. The composition of the senate leadership shifts from year to year. This position is the one constant that guides the business of the Faculty Senate. Job Duties include, but are not limited to: Manages the day-to-day operational needs of the Faculty Senate office including its 80 faculty representatives, its executive board, five standing councils, twelve standing committees, task forces, ad-hoc committees, and administrative review committees. This may include scheduling, preparation and/or distribution of agenda and materials. Creates, updates, and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) and website for Faculty Senate office business processes. Serves as liaison for communication and scheduling with the provost, president, and other university senior leaders and offices. Provides project management support for Faculty Senate leadership, executive board, council and committee chairs. This includes providing orientation annually to senate leadership/chairs on established processes and procedures, timelines, and tracking to completion.Serves as content matter expert on institutional processes/procedures. Provides project management for Faculty Senate elections and appointments. Establishes, tracks, manages, and communicates about the terms of service of all Faculty Senate officers, council and committee chairs, and senators.Serves as liaison to department chairs regarding the terms of their faculty representatives and the need for elections. Initiates, manages, and administers the online election process for at-large senators.Prepares and communicates results. Provides support, training, and development for new and continuing Faculty Senate leadership, council and committee chairs, and members. Develops and prepares budgets and financial reports on annual appropriation for Faculty Senate leadership.
