Requisition Number: S_250491 Department: College of Business-0897 Description of Work: The Finance Specialist- Lead provides comprehensive financial support and oversight across key operational areas within the College of Business, serving in a consultative, customer-focused role. Working under limited supervision, this position is responsible for executing and reviewing complex financial transactions and delivering in-depth financial reporting, utilizing advanced technology. This role supports the Director of Finance and Budget in the fiscal coordination and budget administration of the College of Business. Key responsibilities include monitoring and distributing budget allocations, developing procedures for tracking unit budgets, preparing detailed financial reports, and providing specialized financial analyses to support strategic decision-making. The position also supports a variety of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, foundation, grants, reconciliation, procurement, travel, contracts, and fiscal year-end closing. This role supervises finance staff, fosters professional development, and drives process improvements by implementing more efficient methods and developing clear documentation. This position is expected to provide finance support in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines.
