Job Description: The Assistant Dean of Students is a key member of the Office of the Dean of Students at Ohio University. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students, the Assistant Dean provides support and case management to students of concern and experiencing barriers to their academic success and well-being. The Assistant Dean provides support, coordinates services, and provides referrals to appropriate on and off campus resources for students engaging with the Office of the Dean of Students. The Assistant Dean plays a vital role in the medical withdrawal process by assisting students who are navigating this process, managing the University's return from medical withdrawal process, and serving on the tuition appeals committee. Additionally, this role will serve as a member of the Office's on-call rotation and in providing appropriate, coordinated response to personal and campus emergencies, protests, and demonstrations. The exact base salary for the selected candidate will be negotiable, commensurate with education and experience, and competitive in the field within the context of similarly situated positions at public universities nationally.
