BASIC FUNCTION Nurse Practitioner provides primary care services, including assessing and managing patients in the clinic following established standards and practices. PRINCIPLE DUTIES

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE BSN, MSN preferred. Must have successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program. Minimum of 3 years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus 2 years of nurse practitioner experience. LICENSES Nurse Practitioner licensed in the state of Kentucky. Certification by national certifying organization. ACCOUNTABILITY Accountable to the Chief Medical Officer. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS May require prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting (generally not in excess of 50 pounds at a time). Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. |
