Duties: Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements. Perform accounting activities for revenue and royalties for US and Canadian sites. Ensure adequate analysis and QA/QC to avoid errors and incorrect accounting treatment. Establish gold reconciliation in compliance with internal controls and capture production requirements. Provide business support to site, regional, and corporate planning teams in line with annual business planning. Coordinate QA/QC of sites’ annual business plans. Partner with site employees, controller teams, and corporate treasury to forecast on sales. Maintain GL inventory balances for gold, silver, and copper. Prepare analysis of monthly gold, silver, concentrate, and other metals revenue accounts for North America. Manage month, quarter and year-end general ledger account reconciliations and related procedures. Review and provide supporting documentation/reconciliations to external and internal auditors. Contribute to the closure process including preparing journal entries, preparing accurate Financial Statements, and providing timely reconciliation of all accounts according to the US GAAP. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within reasonable commuting distance.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 3 years of experience in a related occupation. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, employer will accept 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related occupation. Employer is willing to accept any suitable combination of education, experience, or training.
Must include some experience in each of the following: Working with metal sales processes, including the revenue cycle, metal sales, revenue recognition, shipping, and accounts receivable; Leading US GAAP and IFRS financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, planning, and tax; SOX Compliance ; BPC and SAP Fusion; Blackline; Workiva; and Mineman.
