Ingham County’s Community Health Care Services Deputy Health Officer/Executive Director Lansing, Michigan Ingham County is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to serve as the Deputy Health Officer / Executive Director of Community Health Centers. This executive-level position provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for the County’s Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), ensuring alignment with public health priorities and the evolving needs of the community. Reporting to the Medical Health Officer, the County Board of Commissioners, and the Health Center Board, the Executive Director will play a critical role in advancing health equity and access. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional emotional intelligence, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to navigate complex relationships across community stakeholders, unionized environments, and governmental structures. Most importantly, the Deputy Health Officer / Executive Director must be deeply committed to the mission of serving underserved populations and improving health outcomes across Ingham County. About Ingham County Health Department ICHD provides 60,000–75,000 medical visits annually, including prenatal care, dental services, and behavioral health. The department operates with approximately 150 FTEs, 20 providers, and multiple grant-funded programs, including Ryan White, Title X, and refugee services.
