Description Stellar Opportunity for Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to Lead Cerebral Palsy and Neuromotor Center at Prestigious Children’s Hospital in Miami Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a 325-bed freestanding children's hospital and ACS-verified Level I trauma center, and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the physician multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children's Health System, have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon with expertise in treating complex patients with neuromuscular disorders to serve as the Director of the Cerebral Palsy and Neuromotor Center. This position is in partnership with the Neurosciences (Brain Institute) medical and surgical leadership. Our current team includes 12 orthopedic surgeons with subspecialties such as spine, orthopedic oncology, limb differences and length discrepancies, sports medicine, trauma, cerebral palsy, and neuromuscular disorders. We also have highly skilled physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurse coordinators, orthopedic technicians, athletic trainers, support staff, residents, and fellows. Our physicians perform approximately 1,600 surgical procedures annually, while the pediatric orthopedic surgery practice handles around 34,000 outpatient visits across multiple locations. Participates in the call schedule as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Job Requirements - Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school
- Current state medical license and in good standing with medical board
- American Heart Association BLS - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
