The Registered Nurse in the Interventional Radiology department delivers comprehensive care to patients before, during, and after procedures. This role involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans across the pre-, intra- and post-operative phases. The RN also provides support for other radiology modalities as needed and has on-call responsibilities. Our Interventional Radiology Clinical Nurse II (CN2) embodies the essence of professional Registered Nursing, assuming both responsibility and accountability for patients within a designated time frame. Utilizing the nursing process and collaborative input from the healthcare team, the CN2 delivers comprehensive care. They exemplify the professional standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA), actively engaging in ethical considerations, educational endeavors, evidence-based practice, and research. Additionally, they champion quality improvement initiatives, demonstrate leadership prowess, foster collaboration among peers, evaluate professional practice, optimize resource utilization, promote environmental health, and advocate for patients as integral components of clinical nursing practice.
