Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist/Payroll Associate to support our human resources functions, with a strong emphasis on payroll processing. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our staff are supported with timely, accurate compensation and that our HR operations reflect the values of our Quaker community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll (required)

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field preferred

• Familiarity with employment law, payroll tax regulations, and HR best practices

• Experience with HRIS and payroll software (iSolved preferred)

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

1. Payroll (Primary Focus - Approx. 50-60%)

   • Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for faculty and staff using payroll system iSolved

   • Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions, including earnings, deductions, and benefit contributions

   • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

   • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries in a timely, supportive manner

   • Collaborate with the Business Office on benefits, retirement plan contributions, and year-end reporting (e.g., W-2s)

   HR Generalist Duties

   • Maintain employee records and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes

   • Track and manage paid time off, FMLA, and other leave types

   • Assist in recruitment processes: posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates

   • Ensure compliance with HR-related policies and procedures, and participate in policy updates and implementation

   • Maintain HRIS data integrity and support internal reporting needs
