Academic Program Specialist (Assistant Director of New Student Programs) POSITION DETAILS "At Baruch College we believe that student success is everyone's responsibility" Reporting to the Director of New Student Programs, the Assistant Director of New Student Programs is responsible for managing a large team of undergraduate peer mentors, mentor coaches, and executive peer mentors to support new student adjustment and success. The Assistant Director plays a pivotal role in enhancing the student success infrastructure through integrated peer mentoring. Additionally, the Assistant Director will create opportunities that foster a sense of belonging and interconnectedness among peer mentors and new students, supporting the College?s initiatives to enrich the first-year experience. Primary responsibilities of this position include assisting the Director in planning, developing, and implementing new student program initiatives; performing administrative, timekeeping, and budget tasks; selecting, training, and supervising peer mentors for the First Year Seminar and Transfer Student Network; and assisting with Week of Welcome activities, Student Convocation, and Commencement. Other responsibilities for this position include:
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor?s degree and four (4) years of related experience required. Must be a current CUNY employee Preferred Qualifications:
