Internal Job Number: P09246UF Description: OSU-Cascades in Bend is recruiting for a full time, 1.0 FTE, 12-month professional faculty Manager, Academic Outreach and Engagement. The OSU-Cascades Manager, Academic Outreach and Engagement is a vital member of the university's strategic imperative to meet the institution's obligations identified in Prosperity Widely Shared. This position will increase knowledge about and access points to OSU-Cascades for high school and other alternate education students considering higher education and will play a key role in implementing both land grant obligations and PWS strategy by directly supporting the institution's efforts to increase student enrollment to 2,200 by 2030. The Manager, Academic Outreach and Engagement plans and implements consistent and regular outreach activities to high schools and alternative access pre-college organizations in the tri-county area and beyond, to increase and improve pathways for students to attend OSU-Cascades. These activities may include developing events, programs and relationships with students and administrators at high schools in the region, Central Oregon Community College (COCC) and across the state to support meeting enrollment goals and the institution's commitment to and responsibilities as a land grant university. The Manager, Academic Outreach and Engagement will provide senior leadership with strategic recommendations for enhancing program outreach based on data and feedback, proposing new initiatives or improvements to existing efforts with the goal of further supporting enrollment goals and community engagement at the high school and community college level. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer with dotted line reporting to the Senior Associate Dean, the Manager, Academic Outreach and Engagement will ensure that efforts are directly aligned with broader institutional objectives and financial outcomes; the position will be held accountable for meeting performance metrics that are tied directly to the campus's financial health. This position and its work is supplemental to the current departments of enrollment, recruitment and admissions, offering insight and data for use across all groups at OSU-Cascades seeking to meet enrollment benchmarks. This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months. This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
