Job Description Responsible for the daily financial monitoring of assigned sponsored research grants and contracts. This position will work closely with faculty, department administrators, the Wellesley Centers for Women, the Provost’s Office, the Office of Sponsored Research, Finance and representatives from various awarding and subrecipient agencies. Primary Position Responsibilities: -
Assume primary responsibility for supporting assigned PIs regarding financial management of their grants/projects from award through close-out -
Prepare, review with PI and Director of Post Award Services, and submit all financial reports for assigned grants/PIs -
Support researchers in the fiscal management of their grants/projects through financial analyses and forecasting. Invoice and apply payments to subcontracts and work with Director of Post Award Services and other positions/departments to facilitate problem solving -
Through regular review of internal policy and procedure and external terms, conditions and regulations, indentify updates to policy and practice necessary and work with Director of Post Award Services and other College departments/positions to implement -
Work with Principal Investigators and others to ensure timely requests for a no cost extensions and budget revisions -
Set-up and maintain grant awards in the Workday System. -
Work with Provost Office, Budget Office and Human Resources to ensure proper salary allocation of faculty and research staff to external awards, respond to payroll inquiries regarding grant funding, and review effort reports to meet federal requirements. -
Identify equipment purchased on federal awards for inclusion in institutional internal tracking system managed by central college staff -
Assist in implementation of training programs developed by Office of Sponsored Research, Wellesley Centers for Woman, Controller's Office and Director of Post Award Services -
Assists the Director of Post Award Services in handling all aspects of post award accounting operations -
