Supports and provides oversight for programs including mentoring and leadership to Concurrent Review team on Program process, procedures, approach and monitors. Evaluates follow-up of program performance and use for modifying approach and assists department leadership with developing focus areas. Addresses incomplete documentation with Providers to improve medical record Provider documentation and monitors and reviews all quality and audit accounts for accuracy. The primary purpose is to oversee the Clinical Documentation Specialists and improve medical record Provider documentation by performing concurrent medical record reviews and addressing incomplete documentation with Providers by clinical documentation nurse reviewers. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict. Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System's organization policies and procedures. Education/License/Experience Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required, MSN preferred.
- Current state registered nurse license required.
- CCDS certification required
- ICD 10 training required
- Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing is desired
- Knowledge of CDI Program Process is desired
