Affirmative Action No.:: 25P302 First Consideration Date:: 07/14/2025 Department:: Enrollment Management Position FTE:: 100% Minimum Annual or Hourly Rate: $130,000 Job Purposes:: The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Outreach and P-12 Partnerships provides strategic leadership for Wright State University's outreach initiatives, strengthening the P-12 to postsecondary pipeline across Raider Country. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the AVP builds and sustains partnerships with local school districts, community organizations, and other stakeholders to advance college access and student success in the Dayton region. Using a collaborative, asset-based approach, the AVP leads the development, implementation, and assessment of pre-college initiatives—particularly for underserved, first-generation, and economically disadvantaged students. The AVP ensures these programs comply with state and federal regulations and align with institutional goals for educational attainment and enrollment Required Qualifications::

Working Conditions:: Work Environment: The Assistant Vice President (AVP) primarily works in an office setting at Wright State University but will frequently engage in off-site meetings and events within the Dayton region and beyond. This includes visits to local schools, community organizations, regional education forums, and statewide meetings. The role requires considerable travel within the service area to build and maintain partnerships. Schedule and Hours: The position typically follows a standard university business schedule (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) but may require occasional evening or weekend hours to attend community events, meetings, or outreach activities. Physical Demands: The role involves routine office work including computer use, phone communication, and attending meetings. Travel to partner organizations and school districts may require extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking. Collaboration and Interaction: The AVP will work closely with university leadership, faculty, staff, K-12 education leaders, community stakeholders, and external partners. The position requires strong interpersonal skills to navigate diverse settings and facilitate productive collaborations. Responsibility Level: This is a senior leadership position with significant responsibility for program development, staff supervision, budget management, and strategic initiatives that impact educational outcomes across the region. Compliance and Regulatory Environment: The AVP must ensure all outreach initiatives comply with relevant state and federal education regulations, institutional policies, and funding requirements. Technology Use: Regular use of standard office technology including computers, email, data management systems, and presentation tools is required.
