| Applications are invited for a full time faculty positions as Clinical Geneticists with a focus in Biochemical Genetics in the Division of Genetics and Genomics in the Department of Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital and Department of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. We are seeking outstanding clinicians who are board-certified in Clinical Genetics and Medical Biochemical Genetics to join our Metabolism Program, a vigorous clinical program directed toward the diagnosis and care of children with genetic biochemical disorders. There will be the opportunity to participate in our expansive and growing clinical, translational and innovative therapy clinical trials programs with relevance to Genetics and Genomics. Board certification in Medical Biochemical Genetics is preferred. The clinical arm of the Division consists of programs in both metabolism and genetics staffed by 20 clinical and biochemical geneticists, 9 genetic counselors, 3 nurse practitioners, 4 metabolic dieticians, and additional clinical staff including nursing, social work and case management. There is an on-site metabolic laboratory allowing for rapid turnaround of metabolic testing. The Division also includes more than 15 predominantly research based faculty and resides within a very strong research and clinical community in genetics and genomics, developmental biology and related disciplines throughout the Harvard Longwood Medical Area. The applicant would be part of a rich intellectual environment that would facilitate collaboration within the Division, throughout Boston Children’s Hospital, and across the larger Harvard Medical School and Harvard University communities. The Division sponsors and serves as a training site of several genetics educational programs including the medical genetics residency, combined programs in pediatrics/genetics, internal medicine/genetics, MFM/genetics, and medical biochemical genetics. The successful candidate also will be expected to take advantage of the many opportunities for teaching house staff and medical students at Boston Children’s Hospital and will be proposed for a Harvard Medical School faculty appointment at the level of instructor, assistant or associate professor depending on qualifications. Additional Salary Information: The posted pay range is the Department of Pediatrics’ and Children’s Hospital Pediatric Associates inc. reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay estimate at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical/vision/dental coverage, back-up child-care, disability benefits, retirement plans, professional expense accounts, commuter and other employee discounts.
