Our hospital provides vital services to individuals experiencing serious mental illness—helping them regain stability, improving functionality, and preparing for reintegration into their communities. Our team of over 40 psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners work together to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a supportive and collegial environment. The Primary Care Physician role at Oregon State Hospital in Salem offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive ambulatory medical care within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment dedicated to patient-centered behavioral health treatment. This position is instrumental in ensuring patients receive high-quality general medical services, both through the onsite medical clinic and directly within inpatient units. The physician serves as a key medical resource, collaborating with psychiatrists, unit staff, and other healthcare professionals to address the complex health needs of a diverse patient population.
