Manager Inpatient Services

| In addition to providing direct patient care to optimize a patient's ability to perform activities of daily living, the manager supervises the activities of the Physical, Occupational and/or Speech Therapists and Audiologists (as appropriate) ensuring that all services are provided in accordance with hospital and outside regulatory agency standards. They assist with policy and procedure development, long and short term planning and performance improvement, and resource and fiscal management. They provide leadership to the staff, promote clinical competence and are responsible for overseeing and providing education opportunities to the department. Direct patient care will constitute 50-75% of total scheduled time with 25-50% dedicated to administrative duties. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs Physical/Occupational/Speech Therapy (as per licensure) duties consisting of evaluating and assessing the patient; developing goals and a plan of care; involving the patient/family in the development of these goals: providing treatment to address these goals; completing all required documentation in a timely fashion; and performing re-assessments and discharge summaries as per policy. Supervises rehabilitation (PT/OT/ST/Audiology) personnel in conjunction with the Director to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of care to customers.
