Position Title: Assistant Vice President, Facilities & Campus Operations School/Division: Facilities and Operations Office: Facilities and Campus Operations Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time Description: The Facilities and Campus Operations Department at Hofstra University provides comprehensive maintenance and utility services to over 117 academic, administrative, and residential buildings totaling 3.2 million square feet on Hofstra's 240-acre campus. Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Financial Affairs, the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Facilities & Campus Operations is responsible for the administration, management, operation, and maintenance of all physical facilities at Hofstra University. The AVP leads an experienced team that includes a Director of Campus Operations, Director of Budget & Administrative Services, three Associate Directors, a Fire & Life Safety Officer, an Interior Design & Space Planning Coordinator, clerical staff, and more than 200 union trades personnel, with responsibility for building operations, infrastructure improvements, campus grounds, custodial services, and the planning and scheduling of major maintenance outages. In addition, the AVP plays a key role in developing and implementing multi-year capital renewal and infrastructure plans, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, financial strategies, and long-term campus sustainability goals.
