| The City of Cincinnati is hiring a Public Works Operations Superintendent to lead its Neighborhood Operations Division (NOD) — the front line of city services, responsible for solid waste collection, street cleaning, right-of-way maintenance, and more. Key Responsibilities: -
Direct operations in solid waste and right-of-way maintenance citywide -
Manage budgets, staff scheduling, and long-range planning -
Ensure regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA, local ordinances) -
Interface with community members, elected officials, and contractors -
Supervise a diverse team of supervisors and field crews
Minimum Qualifications: -
5+ years of supervisory experience in solid waste, sanitation, right-of-way, or related municipal services
(OR 2 years with a bachelor’s in public administration, business, engineering, or related field) -
Valid Ohio Driver’s License -
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills -
Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and staff development
Compensation & Benefits: -
Salary: $102,025 – $141,588 annually -
