| The Professor of Pathology for the DCOM plays a vital role in shaping the next generation of medical professionals by delivering comprehensive instruction in general pathology, systemic pathology, and histology. This position is pivotal in upholding the academic standards set by the LMU-DCOM curriculum and is essential for fostering a culture of continuous scholarly activity. The incumbent will be accountable for ensuring that the teaching of pathology aligns with the mission and values of the University, the School, and the Department. As the ideal candidate for this role, you must possess either an MD or DO degree and hold board certification in both Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. Additionally, you should have the ability to obtain licensure in Tennessee within the first year of employment through the Tennessee Board of Osteopathic Examination or the Tennessee Medical State Board. Alternatively, candidates with a PhD in pathology, coupled with a background in teaching histology and systemic pathology, will also be considered for this position.
