Don't finish your year not understanding the internal workings of an ambulatory practice including the business end. Colts Neck Equine Associates is offering a real life ambulatory internship where you will be exposed to all areas of ambulatory medicine. We are an 8 doctor primary care group that includes high level show and pleasure horses, standardbred and thoroughbred racing stables and everything in between. Our doctors have advanced training in lameness diagnostics, acupuncture, spinal manipulation, dentistry and business. You will rotate through the different types of ambulatory practices and get exposed to a wide variety of styles, clients, patients and medicine. Our internship also includes exposure if desired into running a practice including HR, accounting, bookkeeping, inventory, and billing. Equipment is all up to date including digital radiography, ultrasounds, gastroscope, lameness locator, regenerative and therapeutic lasers, and ESWT units. Central New Jersey is one hour from NYC, Philadelphia, Atlantic City and close to beaches, rural farms and suburbia. We have the best of all worlds including a vibrant equine population. Don't get fooled by other internships from big referral centers. Make the best of your year and fill it with experiences and education that you can take with you throughout your career. |
