Assistant Athletic Director for Talent Management Operations

| The Assistant Athletics Director for Talent Management provides operational and financial support for Mississippi State Athletics. This position assists the Deputy AD for Talent Management with roster development and oversight, contract execution, and talent acquisition operations, while also coordinating revenue-sharing payment processing and reporting. The role ensures accurate and efficient execution of student-athlete roster management and financial operations and serves as a key liaison across Talent Management, the Athletics Business Office, sport staffs, Compliance and departmental leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Manage daily operations and reporting related to student-athlete revenue sharing. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Data Science, Sports Administration or related field with 3 years of experience in Athletics Administration, financial operations, statistics, or related area. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Data Science or Sports Administration. Salary Grade: 16 Please see Staff Compensation Structure for salary ranges. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of financial reporting, payroll processing, and account reconciliation Working Conditions and Physical Effort • Frequent external deadlines imposed, set and revised beyond one’s control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
