The Department of Physics invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in experimental condensed matter physics, in the area of quantum phenomena, broadly defined. Themes of interest include but are not limited to material synthesis and characterization, devices, circuits, or photonics. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a robust, externally funded research program that incorporates undergraduate and graduate student researchers, be an effective instructor in undergraduate and graduate courses, and help grow the culture of academic excellence in the department.
The preferred starting date for this position is August 2026. Essential Functions
Minimum RequirementsPrior to effective date of appointment, a Ph.D. in Physics, or a closely related field.
