Air Quality Program Manager
Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe
| Summary: The Air Quality Program Manager oversees the Tribe’s Air Quality Program, administering regulatory authorities, supporting organizational goals, and priorities of the Environment Division. This position manages both ambient and indoor air quality projects, develops program goals and procedures, and monitor progress. The manager supervises staff, resolves technical and administrative issues, helps create tribal air quality rules and guidelines, and ensures timely, responsive service to the public and regulated entities. The role also provides leadership during air quality emergencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Lead a technical team in the evaluation of air pollution and impacts to the community of Akwesasne. Serve as the lead point of contact for air quality matters with other agencies, local industry and the community. Program Leadership and Administration

Special tasks: May be asked to serve as a technical lead for special projects representing the Division on emerging environmental threats, new programmatic opportunities and other tasks as assigned. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Effective verbal and written communication skills with project team members and community. Must have excellent computer skills with word processing, spreadsheet, database, flowchart and presentation software and conducting internet research. Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies. Financial skills to review expenditures, monitor project balances, and develop detailed budgets. Scientific writing, technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills to develop project reports, correspondence, presentations, and coordinate projects concisely and clearly. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract in accordance with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Fleet Policy.
